A Yorkie Puppy’s Farm Life

A blog post by Josiah, the farm-exploring Yorkie puppy

Hi, friends. I hope you’re having a good day. Just wanted to share some glimpses of my life here on the farm. It’s a fun place to live. There’s always something interesting happening.

The farm is such a pretty place. Every time I go for a walk, something new and colorful has popped up from the ground.

I love to look through the fence and see if any rodent-squirrels are running around. One day, I surprised Miss Janet by jumping through the fence. She had to walk me from post to post till we reached the gate. It was fun!

I love to explore big old tree trunks. We have a lot of trees on the farm, and I never know who’s living inside them. I love to sniff and see who’s there.

Another interesting plant popped up. This one tickled my nose.

Farm life isn’t all outdoors. Indoors is where I practice my farming skills. I can’t properly carry sticks when they fall from the trees if I don’t practice with my chew toys.

Miss Janet doesn’t like for me to chew on sticks because they could splinter and hurt my insides. But she lets me carry them around because that stops me from eating things off the ground.

There’s always so much to explore on the farm. Some mornings and every evening, I see deer at the bottom of the hill. They always stare at me. I just say hi and let them eat grass. That’s mostly what they do. Although sometimes they leap over the fence. That’s amazing!

Another pretty flower. I love to explore every inch of the ground. I never know what kind of interesting bugs I’ll find.

One day, Miss Janet flattened the burn pile so birds wouldn’t build a nest there. I decided to help her because it seemed like a very important farm task.

At the end of a busy farm day, I love to curl up in my blankets and take a nap.

Have you ever been to a farm? You should visit one. It’s fun! I hope you enjoy your week with lots of adventures, treats, and naps.

Paws and pats,

Josiah

Farm life takes a lot of puppy energy. Time for some serious snoozing.

P.S. Because I’m almost one year old, I thought it might be fun to read my first blog post about My New Life on the Farm: A Puppy’s First Adventures. You might like reading it too! I sure have come a long way since then.
