My Yorkie Puppy Travel Badge

A blog post by Josiah, the traveling Yorkie puppy

A few weeks ago, I told you all about my trip to the big city. And I told you how two days later, I was back in the car again on another adventure. Overnight, I became a seasoned Yorkie puppy traveler!

Today I want to show you my photos from that second trip. I’ll narrate them for you. The details aren’t important. Try to stay focused on my total puppy cuteness.

The first trip I told you about was to Chattanooga. Guess where we went two days later? Chattanooga, again. This time Miss Janet and I traveled with one of my aunts. We rode in her car. Miss Janet told me I had to be a very quiet and polite guest. I behaved very well.

Here are some of my favorite photos from the trip:

We stopped at Cracker Barrel on the way to Chattanooga. I enjoyed a little walk break. Miss Janet got some fish for lunch. Did I get any fish? Nope. But I did get a blueberry from her fresh fruit cup.

Surely my cuteness was worth a second blueberry? She agreed.

We traveled to a church in Chattanooga. My aunt was going to a family event. Miss Janet hung out with me in the playground. Of course, I had to check out every inch of the yard before I could settle. We Yorkies are always responsible for overseeing a place, even when we are just visiting.

After I smelled every inch of the place, I jumped on a bench so I could see the neighborhood. We Yorkies like to sit up high so we can see what’s going on.

Then I heard some action happening nearby. A very big dog was running around his yard. I went into full alert mode and barked a greeting. But he was too busy supervising his human as he worked in his garden. I understood. Humans need a lot of supervision.

After all that excitement, I settled for a bit. I was starting to feel tired from the long drive—from two trips back to back! Miss Janet poured some water into her empty fruit cup. It was refreshing and tasted like blueberries. It was nice just to sit still and rest.

Pretty soon, I felt bored and wanted to explore again. I found a hole in the wall of the church. I looked inside, hoping to find a church mouse. We Yorkies were bred to look for rodents. All I found were some bugs. But it was a fun game.

I reported to Miss Janet there were no rodents at the church. She took me for a walk on the nice, spongy ground. I got to enjoy my favorite moss and clover, just like I do back home.

Pretty soon, Miss Janet told me it was time to drive home again. Before we left, I got to meet some of the humans. They told me how adorable I am. It was fun to see their smiles and feel their tickles on my face. Then we got in the car, and I slept most of the way home.

When we got home that evening, I went straight to my playpen for a nap. Being a Yorkie puppy traveler is hard work.

One of my aunts decided to make a Chattanooga traveler badge for me. She wanted to celebrate that I am such a good traveler, having been to Chattanooga twice. I am officially a Chattanooga explorer!

I hope you enjoyed my travel photos. It’s good to be home.

I hope you have a fun week full of new discoveries.

Sniffs and swishes,

Josiah

I am a little sleepy from all my adventures, but I am proud to be such a grownup puppy traveler!
