A blog post by Josiah, the thankful Yorkie puppy
It’s Thanksgiving week. Miss Janet says I should write about what I’m thankful for. Wow, that could be a long list. I’m thankful for so many things. But I’ll give you the highlights.
The first thing I’m thankful for is that I turned six months old yesterday! I’m a very grown-up Yorkie puppy. I’m excited to celebrate with Miss Janet. Maybe she will give me extra treats this week because I’m such a good, six-month-old puppy.

What else am I thankful for? Lots of things. I am thankful for:
- Miss Janet for loving and taking care of me, even when I give her a hard time.
- My aunts for cuddling me and telling me I’m cute.
- My pup friends, Beauregard and Lily, and the animals in the pasture. They all look out for me.

- The rodent-squirrels for keeping me alert and entertained.
- My favorite tree for giving me a safe place to play outdoors.
- My groomer for getting the hair out of my face so I can see.
- My vet for telling Miss Janet how to take care of me.

- My pet sitter for playing with me if Miss Janet gets stuck somewhere.
- My blanket fort for keeping me toasty warm on chilly days.
- My soft dog bed on the couch for giving me a cozy place to nap.
- My training sessions with Miss Janet because they result in lots of yummy treats. I’m such a good boy and a fast learner.

- My playpen where I can act ferocious without getting into trouble.
- My farm, the best place I ever could have picked to grow up.
- A chance to explore and go on new puppy adventures every day.
I told you I’m thankful for a lot. Not just this week but every day. I have a great puppy life, and I get to share it with lots of friends. Miss Janet says she is thankful for her friends too. And for me, of course!

Have a Happy Thanksgiving, everybody. Try not to eat too many treats! But have fun.
Your thankful friend,
Josiah
