10 Birthday Wishes for that Very Special Human

It seems like there is always a birthday just around the corner for someone in my extended family. We’ve had a bunch of them lately. I love birthday celebrations, mainly because I love all celebrations. I love it when all the humans in my life are happy and joyous. We should celebrate every day.

If you have a human in your life with a birthday coming up, I thought I’d share some birthday wishes you can share with your human on their special day. Here are 10 wishes to choose from—or choose them all!

My Dear Human Friend,

Here are 10 things I wish for your birthday and every day:

I wish for you to have lots of extra time to give me belly rubs. Like, maybe right now?

I wish for lots of wonderful mornings when you wake up with my wet nose in your face. Isn’t that better and more reliable than that awful-sounding alarm clock?

I wish for you to never run out of pup treats. Let’s check right now and make sure there are plenty in the cupboard.

I wish that you will remember every day how cute, adorable, and amazing I am. If you forget, I promise to remind you.

I wish for lots of fun car rides to the park, the meadow, the creek, anywhere but the v.e.t. or the g.r.o.o.m.e.r. Yes, I can spell. Your code-speak doesn’t fool me.

I wish for you to have lots of smiles as you watch my zoomies. You know I do them for your entertainment.

I wish for lots of snuggles while sitting on the couch. When it’s convenient for me, of course.

I wish for a teeny tiny bite of whatever you’re eating right now. (Okay, okay, okay, I know it’s not good for me.) Just this once? (Okayyyy.)

I wish for you to bring me a new toy so I can properly celebrate with you.

I wish for you to have all the joy in the world . . . because you make my world joyful every day.

That last wish will elicit an “Awww” from your human. That’s an excellent moment to add, “Now, about that cake . . .”
